Laser/vaser or ultrasonic Liposuction
Liposuction is the surgical removal of body fat from that part of the body that has a lot of fat deposit under the skin and in the muscle tissue. The fat is first turned into liquid by some of the latest methods; Lipolysis and then it is removed by means of a canula and a suction device.
Most common sides on the body where liposuction is carried out are:
- Outer thighs
- Inner thighs
- Inner knees
- Upper arms
- Chin, neck etc.
- Male Breast Tissue
- Female genital area
Liposuction has been around for more than eighty years however the techniques used now are safer, better and give much better results than those practiced earlier. The improvements brought about in the process have resulted in much less blood loss, hardly any discomfort and minimal risk. The recovery period has also shortened considerably. The modern liposuction procedure is also used to relocate the fat that is removed from one region to another region where it is needed such as for the removal of wrinkles.
Care has to be taken that Liposuction is not carried too far and too much fat is not removed. This would defeat the purpose of sculpting the body and there could be uneven surfaces of the skin under which excess fat has been removed. There could be other risks involved as well.
Hence it is necessary to get the procedure done from a Cosmetic Surgeon of repute who has the skill and the experience to carry out the procedure safely and effectively.
